Mediation is a cooperative problem solving process in which a neutral professional helps people in conflict clearly define the issues in dispute and to reach agreements that are in the best interests of the family. Click here for answers to frequently asked questions about our services.

• Divorce & child custody mediation – Divorce & Child Custody Mediation is a positive opportunity for families to develop a parenting plan and resolve issues of divorce in a collaborative, supportive and knowledgeable environment.
  

• Employee Dispute Mediation – Sometimes simply letting employees’ air out their differences or issues with a neutral third party can make a significant positive impact in the workplace. Our mediators can come to your place of business to assist with any of your employee mediation needs.
  

• Parenting Coordination – Parenting Coordination can take place via agreement of both parties or under court order. Parenting Coordination is an opportunity for parents to work together in the creation of a parenting plan that is unique to their own schedules and the unique needs of their children.

Parents are encouraged to communicate with each other and to respect the needs of their children. Parenting Coordination reduces conflict and can be a valuable tool to ensure the welfare of the children involved.

Parenting Coordination services are billed $125 per hour, 2 hour minimum 1^st meeting. Our parenting coordinators are certified/licensed therapists with BOST (basic mediation training) and the 20 additional child access mediation trainings.

Services with the best interests of the child:

• Therapeutic visitation: The Therapeutic Visitation program provides parents or caregivers the opportunity to meet with their children in a safe environment. Our evaluators are certified licensed therapists with no less than 3 years experience working in Circuit Court.
  

• Basic Evaluation: Interviews of both parents and the children. The evaluator provides a 4-5 page report to the Judge or Master with recommendations. The cost for a basic evaluation is $500-$700 Dollars.
  

• Custody Evaluation: Our providers follow the guidelines provided by...We provide thorough forensic reports about the family members, their environments and their ability to provide adequate parenting to their children.

Custody evaluation & Psychological evaluations – Doctors are trained and certified in forensic evaluation.

Marriage education

Resolution Services provides weekly meetings with couples. Couples are given marital education and resources, and skill building projects such as role-playing and goal setting.  This program, sponsored by the Cecil County Healthy Marriage Initiative, provides 6 sessions of private marital education to couples who need a little help getting their marriage to a healthy and successful state.

Marriage Support Group

Resolution Services provides weekly meetings with couples. The Marriage Support Group is a free service sponsored by the Cecil County Healthy Marriage Initiative. Couples meet in a group with other couples. Session topics vary according to participant goals and interests. The Marriage Support Group is free and open to the public. To attend, you must pre-register by calling 410-398-9557. Free babysitting is available if requested at least 24 hours in advance of each weekly meeting. The Marriage Support Group is currently meeting on Thursdays from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Counseling

Our agency provides private psychotherapy and family counseling. We are a brief solution focused practice and work with the employer assistance program for the town of Elkton and Cecil County Government.
